Ready to spring into some fun activities in Belmont and Waltham? Everyone is invited! Here are four of our favorites. Look for us at these events to win a prize or say hello.
Looking for something to do that’s both fun and rewarding? Saturday, April 15that 10:00am, egg hunters, ages 9 and younger, will gather at Chenery Middle School field to search for treasures of candy, gold coins, or even a new bike. A special hunt for toddlers will be hosted on the playground.
If your child finds eggs with slips of paper from Belmont Savings Bank, come to our tent to redeem them for the actual gold coins!
This free event is held rain or shine from 10:00-11:00am. Free refreshments will be served. Plus, the big Bunny will be available for photos – so be sure to bring your camera!
The 30th annual Gore Place Sheep Shearing Festival will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 29, from 10am – 5pm at Gore Place in Waltham. This family festival will include a variety of farm, sheep and wool related activities. Families can enjoy the animals, music and dance, and visit one of the area’s largest handmade crafts fairs. Tickets to the Sheep Shearing Festival are $20 for adults, and are free for Gore Place Members and children ages 12 and under.

This Family Fun Run is a 5K race in celebration of Becca Pizzi’s accomplishment of being the first American female to complete the World Marathon Challenge: seven marathons on seven continents in seven days! The race includes a 1-mile run for kids as well.
On Sunday, April 30th at the Belmont High school track, find Belmont Savings Bank at the second annual Becca Pizzi Family Fun Run, benefitting the Becca Pizzi Scholarship Fund and the Belmont Boosters.
The race will begin and end at the Belmont High School track, located at 221 Concord Ave. Day-of registration begins at 7:30am, the 5K begins at 9:30am, and the 1-mile kids run starts at 9:00am. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Becca Pizzi Scholarship Fund and the Belmont Boosters.
Pre-registration includes a fee of $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Day-of registration will be $35. You can register for the race here!
The Patriots are coming! Watch them play….basketball? That’s right. New England Patriots team members are coming to Belmont High School to play in a basketball game against members of the Belmont community on Wednesday, May 17th. The game begins at 6:30pm, and players will be signing autographs during half time!
Would you like to play in or watch the game? Just stop by Belmont Center or Trapelo Road branches before May 9th and be entered to win. Ten people will win free tickets, and one lucky winner will play on the Patriots’ team. Find more information here.
